A native of Bathurst, Kevin became interested in painting in his early fifties, so when an oil painting course was being given by Priscilla Laffoley, he decided to take it. He found it to be a great hobby.
He began painting in oil, but in the last few years he has been trying acrylic painting by taking some courses from Adrienne Elfner-Hazen. He plans to take more workshops in the future to gain more experience and meet other artists.
Kevin is mainly interested in painting landscapes and wildlife. He gets inspired in seeing the scenery in the area and the Acadian Peninsula. Since he started painting he sees things in nature differently. He says painting “can be a challenge at times” but he will keep at it because he finds it relaxing.
He has exhibited at the Bathurst City Hall, the Auberge de la Vallée and currently exhibits at the Bay Breeze Art Gallery in the La Promenade Waterfront in Bathurst.
Kevin is an active member of the Bathurst Art Society and is currently their treasurer.
