Hello my name is Pamela Goodwin.
I am a Floral Designer, Cake Artist, Jewellery Maker/Designer and recently a Rookie Artist in water colour and acrylic painting. Jewellery making became a new passion when I retired from Floral Design after 14 years. When I was doing Prom Corsages just before retiring I started using decorative wire to make the wrist brackets or to embellish the corsage itself by twisting and spiralling the wire. As I did this one day i had a thought that I would really like to get into Jewellery design when retire from flowers. I signed up to take a Jewellery Design correspondence course, which was the same way I learned Floral Design and worked on that while making jewellery for family, friends as gifts. My plan is to make jewellery with sea glass that i have collected while roaming the area beaches. My creative soul is inspired by our new life in Bathurst NB. My husband and I moved to Bathurst from a Gold Mining Town, Red Lake, Ontario last August. My mantra in the last few years has been “Learn Something New!” Which led me to the Bathurst Art Gallery where I met Adrienne and immediately signed up for her Fall Acrylic Class. Learn something new and meet new people was my plan. Recently I’ve joined the Art Society and look forward to participating and helping with the art events. Some of my work experience may be of help also. I’ve been a book keeper, legal secretary, chiropractic assistant and I had my own home Cake Business. My last endeavour in Red Lake was as a volunteer at the Red Lake Heritage Museum. There I learned Artifact Cataloging, Museum Displays, and helped with Museum Events. So I look forward to sharing my experiences, talents and to being a part of the Gallery and the Art Society, and meeting more wonderful people. 🧑🏻🎨
